ASSTA-hosted Conferences

ASSTA is proud to regularly host major international conferences in Australia. To date these are:

Interspeech 2026 will be held in Sydney, Australia. See the announcement here. 

The 19th International Congress of Phonetic Sciences was held in Melbourne in August 2019. This was the first time this large international conference, first held in 1932, took place in the Southern hemisphere – and only the fourth time it had been held outside of Europe. See the proceedings here.

Interspeech 2008 was held in Brisbane in September 2008. See the proceedings here.

The 5th International Conference on Spoken Language Processing (ICSLP98) was held in Sydney in December 1998, attracting over 950 delegates. See the proceedings here.
