Information for presenters
Oral presentation
Oral presentations in the parallel sessions will be 20 mins + 10 mins for questions.
Scheduling details for presenters in special sessions will be sent through by the session organisers. Please note that special session “The Phonetic Expression of Phonological Length” will have a shorter presentation format: 20 mins inclusive of presentations and questions.
All presenters are asked to:
Upload their slides no later than the evening before the day of the scheduled talk to the online folder (link below). Look for the subfolder with the date and for the relevant session. Please use first author’s surname and EasyChair paper ID as the file name. e.g. “Surname_1”.
Follow this link to upload the slides: SST2024 Presentation Slides
We are not able to offer presenters the option to present using their own laptops. Please make sure any fonts or audio/video are embedded in the presentation file.
If you have any issues uploading your talk before the conference, please email [email protected]. If you have any issues uploading your talk after the conference has started, please seek out committee members or volunteers for assistance.
Poster presentation
We ask all presenters to prepare an A0 poster (84.1 x 118.9cm) in portrait format. The poster boards are 120 x 180cm. It is strongly recommended to display your poster in portrait orientation for the best presentation.
Please set your poster up by lunchtime on the day of the poster session (Wed 4th Dec). Your poster board number will be your submission number. Velcro tapes will be provided, and a volunteer will be available to assist you with putting up your posters during morning tea and lunchtime.
If you need to get your poster printed locally, the nearest option is Scotts Print & Design, about a 20 minute walk from the conference venue. There are also several Officeworks stores in the CBD area for those who stay nearby.
You can send an online poster printing request (Scotts: contact; Officeworks: online printing) a couple of days in advance of pick-up. Allow extra time for pick-up, as the print desk can be quite busy at times.
If you have queries about the poster session, poster printing or other questions please email [email protected]. If you have any questions after the conference has started, please seek out committee members or volunteers for assistance.
